NOPSI car 832 has led an interesting life.  A 1922 Perley Thomas car, it is well known as a Desire car.  The top picture here shows it operating on the Desire line down Bourbon Street in the French Quarter.  The middle picture shows it during World War II, when it wore a War Bonds patriotic livery.  The bottom picture shows it in retirement at the Pennsylvania Railway Museum, where it can be found operating to this day with its correct Desire route sign — or even two of them!  It is one of the last three 800-class cars still in existence. — Photo by John M.
