These two photos of the former Toledo & Western interurban freight car are dated January 1960, but might have been taken a little earlier. They appear to have been snapped just just a few seconds apart, from almost the same spot. It's an open question whether the car is moving from our right to left, as is suggested bt the trolley pole, or is backing toward our right. In the second photo, we see a crewman leaning out of the train door tending the trolley rope and pole, which would be important if the car were backing up. The purpose of the fire in the second picture is not known.
