.     .    1.  Beatrix KENNEDY, b. 11/19/1890 in New Orleans, d. 2/23/1942 in New Orleans; m. 1911 Dr. Edward Porter Alexander Ficklen, Sr., b. 10/25/1887 in Savannah, GA, d. 8/4/1963 in New Orleans.

Stephen Deare MCNEIL, b. c. 1811, d. 4/11/1855 in New Orleans.  In the 1860 census, she is listed as head of a household that included her children, her sisters Mary (#3 above) and Sophia (#5 above), a male named “J. Kennedy” who must have been her brother Joseph (#2 above), and a Charles Kennedy, age 7, who was probably her brother Charles age 42 (#8 below); no relationships are listed.  In 1880 her household included four of her children, her unmarried sister Sophia, brother Charles, nephew Morris (#9.4 below), and a "Mrs. M. Kennedy" who was probably her unmarried sister Mary, as well as three servants.

     8.  Charles Claiborne KENNEDY, b. 7/29/1818 in LA, d. 9/16/1893 in New Orleans; never married.  Charles Kennedy is listed in the 1860 census as age 7.  This appears to be a gross error in recording his age, 42 at the time.  The same household, that of his widowed sister Elizabeth Ann Kennedy (#7 above), includes a brother and 3 sisters, ages 45-55.  No Charles Kennedy age 7 (b. c. 1853) is otherwise known.  No other 1860 census record of him is known.  In the 1880 census he is recorded living with the same family.
