New Orleans Railway & Light Co. was created in 1905 to operate all New Orleans city lines.  The lines were owned by the individual companies that had previously built, owned, and operated them separately.  This arrangement continued until 1922, when ownership and operation were combined into New Orleans Public Service Inc.
