Picture 127.

This view looks out Canal toward Carondelet/Bourbon.  We see here part of the two block gap in the center track.  Notice that passengers boarded and alighted from the left side of cars on the inner tracks.  This practice ended after the inner tracks were moved closer together, eliminating the center track, in the 1929 rebuilding.  The car crossing the center is turning left from the lakebound inner track uptown into Carondelet, on the Coliseum, Henry Clay, or Annunciation line. — C.
