In the top picture, the demonstrator car is outbound, passing a Canal Street bus at Carondelet/Bourbon.  The track ends at the next intersection.  In the second picture, the car has pulled forward past the crossover in the block between Carondelet/Bourbon and Baronne/Dauphine.  The motorman has changed ends and is preparing to return.  Note the switchbar leaning against the open front door of the streetcar. — Earl Hampton photos
