Pictures 14, 15, and 16.

In order to switch from the St. Charles line tracks to the Canal line tracks, car 29 had to take the crossover at the left in the top picture.  The car had to reverse ends and pull onto the Canal track (middle picture), then reverse again (bottom picture) to proceed down Canal Street.  In the bottom picture, one crewman is setting the switch, while the other walks the trolley pole around the car, as St. Charles car 966 passes at the left.  (Incidentally, car 966 is now resident and operated by the Seashore Trolley Museum at the Lowell, Massachusetts National Historical Park.)
